PENGARUH LIKUIDITAS, LEVERAGE, DAN AKTIVITAS TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS PADA INDUSTRI OTOMOTIF DI BEI

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of liquidity, leverage and activity on the profitability of automotive
industry which were listed on Stock Exchange. While, liquidity was measured by current ratio, leverage
measured by debt to equity ratio, and the activity was measured by total assets turnover.Based on the purposive
sampling, there were 9 companies as sample from 12 population of automotive industry 2012-2016. Moreover,
the data were in the form of financial data and taken from company balance sheet and its loss-profit statement.
Furthermore, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with excel and SPSS 2.0.Based on the
research result, it concluded liquidity had positive and significant effect on the profitability. On the other hand,
leverage had negative ang significant effect on the profitability. Similiar to liquidity, activity had positive and
significant effect on the profitability. In addition, the activity with use was measured total assets turnover had
dominant effect on the profitability.
