PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN, LINGKUNGAN KERJA, DAN REWARD TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SDN PUTAT JAYA III SURABAYA
Abstract
This research analyzes the effect of leadership style, work environment, and reward on the teachers’ performance at SDN Putat Jaya III Surabaya. A teacher’s performance plays a crucial factor in improving educational quality; therefore, it needs various approaches to optimize the performance. The independent variables were leadership style, work environment, and reward. While the dependent variable was teachers’ performance. The research applies quantitatively. Furthermore, the data were collected through a questionnaire which was distributed to all employees at SDN Putat Jaya III Surabaya. Then, all of them were analyzed by multiple linear regression. The research shows that leadership style has a significantly positive effect on the teachers’ performance at SDN Putat Jaya III Surabaya. However, the work environment has a positive but insignificant effect on the teachers’ performance at SDN Putat Jaya III Surabaya. Likewise, reward has a positive but insignificant effect on the teachers’ performance at SDN Putat Jaya III Surabaya. In conclusion, schools need to consider the leadership style from the principal such as directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating. Furthermore, a comfortable environment needs to be created, such as improving some qualities in lighting, air, sound, and color. Giving a fair reward needs to consider the existing regulation, such as salary and bonus, wealth, career development, also social and psychological appreciation.
