Abstract

This research examined the effect of career development, training, and work environment on the employees’ loyalty at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), Operation Area 8 Surabaya. Career development was measured by recruitment and selection, natural resource allocation, evaluation and assessment, and training and development. Moreover, training was measured by its purpose, material, method, and participants’ and trainees’ qualifications. Work environment was measured by work fields, facilities, transportation, colleague relations, and teamwork. Furthermore, employees’ loyalty was measured by obedience to the rules, responsibility to the organization, cooperation ability, self-belonging, and personal relations. The research was descriptive-quantitative. The population in this study were employees of the PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 8 Surabaya office. The sampling technique used was a saturated sampling technique with a sample of 63 respondents. The instrument in the data collection technique was a questionnaire. The questionnaires were distributed to respondents online through Google Forms. In addition, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS 26.The result showed that career development, training, and work environment positively and significantly affected employees’ loyalty at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), Operation Area 8 Surabaya.
