Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of emotional intelligence, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior on the employees’ performance at Java Sub Regional Head of Pelindo III. Moreover, the research was quantitative. The population was employees of the Java Sub Regional Head of Pelindo III. Furthermore, the data were primary. The data collection technique used simple random sampling, in which the sample was randomly selected without any certain criteria. In line with that, there were 70 respondents as the sample. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS 27. Additionally, the result concluded that emotional intelligence had a positive and significant effect on employees’ performance. However, organizational commitment had a negative and significant effect on employees’ performance. In contrast, Organizational Citizenship Behavior had a positive but insignificant effect on employees’ performance. In brief, both emotional intelligence and organizational commitment had a significant effect on employees’ performance. In addition, the management of the Java Sub Regional Head of Pelindo III was expected to support work balance and life by offering overtime pay, enough leave, and affordable facilities such as private transportation to improve employees’ performance.
