PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN AJB BUMIPUTERA
Abstract
High competition in the business world has made the AJB Bumiputera 1912 company Branch Office Rungkut
Surabaya has to do some dynamic changes in order to make the company competitive and the existence of its
performance is maintained. This research is meant to find out the influence of transformational leadership style
and work motivation to the performance of employees of AJB Bumiputera 1912 Branch Office Rungkut
Surabaya. Transformational leadership style is the ability of a leader to realize his mission, to encourage the
members to conduct learning, and able to give inspiration and motivation to his staffs. The performance of a
person in implementing his tasks one of them is emerged and influenced by work motivation. The population is
53 employees. The sample collection technique has been done by using random sampling. The data analysis
technique has been done by performing multiple linear regressions method. The result of this research shows that
the result of t test shows that partially the transformational leadership style and work motivation variables have
significant influence to the performance of the employees. The result of the analysis of partial coefficient
determination shows that transformational leadership is the variable which has dominant influence compared to
other variables. It has been found from this result of this research that the superior should pay attention to the
needs of the employees which consist of salary, safe and confidence, reward in order to improve the better
