PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL DAN KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSAKSIONAL TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN
Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership variables and transactional leadership on employee performance. The research population was outsourced employees of the Surabaya City Library and Archives Office. The type of research used is quantitative with comparative causal methods. The sampling technique used through saturated sampling techniques while the number of samples based on Slovin formula obtained as many as 80 respondents. The data collection method used is by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression models. The results show that transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on employee performance, this indicates that with the more appropriate application of transformational leadership styles, this can cause the performance of the Surabaya City Library and Archives Office to increase. Transactional leadership has a significant positive effect on employee performance, this indicates that with the more appropriate implementation of the transactional leadership style it can create harmonious integration and encourage employee performance to achieve the goals set by the leadership. While the results of the test coefficient of partial determination of transactional leadership have a dominant influence on employee performance compared to transformational leadership variables.
