Abstract

Companies must defend the value of the company to achieve maximum profit in order to prosper and improve the welfare of shareholders. This research aims to determine the influence of profitability, liquidity and capital structure on company value. The population in this research are food and beverages companies which is listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012-2016. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method, so that obtained 10 companies that fit by the criteria in this research. The analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis. The profitability (independent variable) used ROA's return on assets, the liquidity uses the CR (current ratio),the capital structure used the DER as the dependent variable of the company value using PBV's (price to the book value). The results of this research indicates that profitability and capital structure have a significant influence on the company value which obtaining optimal profit and optimal capital structure capability that will influence the company value. While liquidity does not influence the value of the company because the company is unable to meet its current liabilities by using current assets. This research can be concluded that the decrease or increase of the company value can be influenced by profitability and capital structure. We recommend that the company's management consider profitability, liquidity, and capital structure for company value to be achieved.
