Abstract

The globalization era in which the competition among companies become more competitive and high has required
all companies to enhance the performance of employees in conducting continuous competition.The purpose of
this research is study whether the performance of employees is influenced by work environment, communication,
and workload. The data analysis has been carried out by using quantitative approach. The sample collection has
been done by using probability sampling technique. The data collection method has been carried out by issuing
questionnaires to 50 employees at PT XL Axiata Tbk Surabaya. This research model has been done by using
multiple linear regressions. Based on the result of t test, partially it can be concluded that work environment and
communication has an influence to the performance of employees whereas workload does not have any influence
to the performance of employees.The correlation value of work environment to the performance of employees is
the largest and positive so it is recommended for the company to prioritize the enhancement of work
environment, the communication of employees is the second largest and positive, and workload is the third
largest and negative.
