Abstract

This research aims to determine job stress, competence and compensation has an influence on the performance of
company employees. The population used in this research is a trading company engaged in security technology
system there is PT. Media Bersama Sukses which is located in Surabaya. The Sampling technique using
sampling method saturated or all existing employees, with the sample obtained as many as 48 respondents
from employees of the company. The analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression
analysis. The result of feasibility test of model or independent variable test to dependent variable
shows that job stress, competence and compensation together have significant influenced the employee
performance. Partial test results show that job stress variable negative significant influenced the employee
performance, it shows that the higher the work stress experienced will make the performance
decreased. Two other independent variables of competence and compensation have a positive significant
influence on employee performance, it shows that higher competence and compensation will improve
employee performance in company.
