PENGARUH KOMPETENSI KERJA, ACHIEVMENT MOTIVATION, DAN DISIPLIN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PADA PT PLN NUSANTARA POWER UP GRESIK

Abstract

The role of employees’ performance is crucial in running a company’s operations. The company will keep
improving its employees’ performance to achieve the goals that have been stated. Therefore, employees are one of
the assets that need to be protected. This research aimed to examine and analyze the effect of work competence,
achievement motivation, and work discipline on employees’ performance. Moreover, the population was regular
employees at PT. PLN Nusantara Power UP, Gresik. The research was quantitative. The data collection technique
used non- probability sampling, with incidental sampling as its sampling technique. Furthermore, with the Slovin
formula, 73 respondents from 276 employees fulfilled the criteria as a sample. The instrument in the data collection
technique was a questionnaire. The questionnaires were distributed to the respondents. Additionally, the data
analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS 25. The result showed that work competence had a
positive and significant effect on employees’ performance. Likewise, Achievement Motivation had a positive and
significant effect on employees’ performance. Similarly, work discipline had a significantly positive effect on
employees’ performance.
