Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of profitability, solvability, and liquidity on the firm value of Food and Beverage companies that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2016-2020. Moreover, the research was quantitative. In this study, company value is proxied by price book value (PBV), profitability is proxied by return on assets (ROA), solvency is proxied by debt to asset ratio (DAR) and liquidity is proxied by current ratio (CR). The population in this study are of Food and Beverage companies that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2016-2020. The data used in this research were secondary, in the form of companies’ financial statements. Furthermore, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample taken was based on the criteria given. In line with that, there were 11 Food and Beverage companies as the sample. Additionally, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. The research result concluded that profitability had a positive and significant effect on the firm value. On the other hand, solvability had a negative and significant effect on the firm value. Likewise, liquidity had a negative and significant effect on the firm value.
