PENGARUH RETURN ON EQUITY, CURRENT RATIO DAN EARNING PER SHARE TERHADAP HARGA SAHAM PERUSAHAAN FOOD AND BEVERAGE DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of Return On Equity, Current Ratio, and Earning Per Share on stock price in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Moreover, the research was causal-comparative with a quantitative approach. The data were secondary, taken from the official website of the Gallery of Investment Indonesia Stock Exchange (GIBEI) in STIESIA and the online site of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Furthermore, the data collection technique used saturated sampling, in which all the members of the population suited the criteria as the sample. In line with that, there were 16 samples from 72 Food and Beverage companies during the observation from 2017 until 2021). Additionally, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS 25. The result concluded that Return On Equity had a positive but insignificant effect on the stock price. On the other hand, Current Ratio had a negative and insignificant effect on the stock price. In contrast, Earning Per Share had a positive and significant effect on the stock price of Food and Beverage companies.
