PENGARUH INFLASI, NILAI TUKAR, DAN PROFITABILITAS TERHADAP HARGA SAHAM PADA PERUSAHAAN FOOD AND BEVERAGE PERIODE 2017-2021

Abstract

There are several things that must be considered in making investment decisions. One thing to consider is the stock price. The share price is the price that occurs on the stock market at a certain time and the share price is determined by market participants. Food and beverage companies are one of the mainstays supporting growth and the manufacturing economy in Indonesia. This company is also in demand by investors because the stocks in food and beverage companies are crisis-resistant stocks compared to other industrial sectors. This research aimed to find out, examine, and analyze the effect of inflation, exchange rate, and profitability on the stock price of Food and Beverage companies during 2017-2021. Inflation was measured by annual inflation data in one year during 2017-2021, the exchange rate was measured by the average of exchange rate in one year during 2017-2021, and profitability was measured by Return On Asset. Moreover, the research was causal-comparative with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based on the criteria given. Additionally, the population was 34 Food and Beverage companies listed on IDX 2017-2021. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. The result showed that both inflation and profitability had a significant effect on the stock price. However, the exchange rate had an insignificant effect on the stock price.
