Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of training and work environment on the performance of employees
of Library and Archives Office of Sidoarjo Regency. This type of research is quantitative research using
comparative causal research method (Causal-Comparative Research). Population in this research is all employee
who work in Library Service and Archive of Regency of Sidoarjo. This research uses sampling technique with
saturated sampling method. The number of samples used in this research were 48 respondents. The analysis
method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS application tools (Statistical
Product and Service Solutions) version 25. In result of research of t test show that training have positive and
significant influence to performance of officer of Library Service and Archive of Regency of Sidoarjo. The work
environment has a positive and significant influence on the performance of the staff of the Library and Archives
Office of Sidoarjo Regency with the overall significance level less than 0.05. Simultaneously, independent
variables consisting of training and work environment have a significant influence on the dependent variable is
the performance of employees with a significance level of 0.284.
