FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI STRUKTUR MODAL PADA PERUSAHAAN FOOD AND BEVERAGES DI BEI

Abstract

Capital structure is a comparison between companies’ long-term and short-term debt with their debt with their own capital companies. Therefore, this research aimed to find out the effect of the current ratio, fixed asset ratio, return on equity, and sales growth on capital structure (debt to equity ratio) at food and beverage companies. This research was done for 6 years, from 2015 up to 2020. The population was 15 food and beverage companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling with 10 food annd beverage companiesas the sample. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. Futhermore, the data were secondary in the form of companies’s financial statements from 2015 up to 2020. The research result concluded that return on equity as well as sales growth had an insignificant effect on capital structure (debt to equity ratio). On the other hand, both the current ratio and fixed asset ratio had a significant effect on capital structure (debt to equity ratio).
