ANALISIS PENGARUH RETURN ON ASSET, RETURN ON EQUITY, DAN NET PROFIT MARGIN TERHADAP RETURN SAHAM PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR YANG TERDAFTAR DI BEI

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the effect of return on asset, return on equity, and net profit margin on the stock return at manufacturing companies listed on the indonesia stock exchange. The research population used manufacturing companies listed on the indonesia stock exchange in the 2016-2020 period with 13 companies. To provide a homogeneous population, the researcher had several criteria given so that the selected companies became 8 companies. Furthermore, the sample collection technique used a saturated sampling technique namely, a population was selected homogenously as the research sample. Moreover, the research was causal-comparative, with secondary data through the company’s financial statements. In addition, the research data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS 25 version. The research result concluded that the return on asset had a positive and significant effect on the stock return, return on equity had a positive and significant effect on the stock return, and net profit margin had a positive but insignificant effect on the stock return.
