Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of compensation, training and career development on employees’ performance at Tourism Education of Lontar Sewu Hendrosari, Gresik. While the research was quantitative. Moreover, there were 100 respondents within the population, but only 80 samples from regular and freelance employees of Tourism Education of Lontar Sewu Hendrosari, Gresik. Meanwhile, the data collection technique used simple random sampling. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS 25.0. Based on the research result, it concluded as follows: 1. Compensation had a positive but insignificant effect on employees’ performance. This showed that the employees’ salary cannot fulfill their living needs. They were not satisfied as there was progress in tourism; 2. Training had a positive but insignificant effect on employees’ performance. It meant, the employees could not focus on completing their job suit with companies’ procedures, especially for freelance employees who needed more training duration than regular ones; 3. Career development had a positive and significant effect on employees’ performance. This meant, through the progress and popularity which had had by Tourism Education of Lontar Sewu Hendrosari, Gresik; many tourists outside Gresik came and visited. It assumed that the employees were competent and qualified.
