PENGARUH CURRENT RATIO, RETURN ON ASSET DAN RETURN ON EQUITY TERHADAP RETURN SAHAM PADA PERUSAHAAN FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Abstract

Stock returns are often associated with firm value, because firm value reflects the rate of return on
investment made by investors. This research aimed to analyze the effect of the current ratio, return on
asset, and return on equity on the stock return in the Food and Beverages company listed on
Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2016-2020 period. Moreover, this research was quantitative.
Meanwhile, the population in this study were 10 Food and Beverage companies based on
predetermined characteristics, in sampling using the saturated sample technique, the sample period
used is 5 years, so the sample in this study used 50 observational data. On the other hand, the
research data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS program 25
version. Based on the test results, it shows that the calculated F value is 2.805 and has an F test
significance value of 0.050, so it can be said that the regression model is feasible to use in this
study. Moreover, based on the hypothesis test result (t-test) showed that current ratio had an
positive and insignificant effect on the stock return, return on assets had a negative and significant
effect on the stock return, and return on equity had a positive and significant effect on the stock
return.
