PENGARUH PROFITABILITAS, LIKUIDITAS, DAN AKTIVITAS TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN LABA PERUSAHAAN PERTAMBANGAN DI BEI

Abstract

This research aimed to test the effect of profitability, liquidity, and activity on profit growth.
The research independent variable used profitability proxied with net profit margin, liquidity
was proxy with the current ratio, activity was proxy with total assets turnover. Meanwhile,
the research dependent variable used profit growth. This research was the quantitative
method. The research sample used purposive sampling, a sample selection with
determining criteria. Based on the purposive sampling, obtained 51 from 11 mining
companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2016-2020 period. Moreover, the
research analysis method used multiple linear regressions with the SPSS program 25
version. The research result showed that the net profit margin variable had a negative and
significant effect on the profit growth, the current ratio variable had a positive and
insignificant effect on the profit growth, while, the total assets turnover variable used
positive and insignificant effect on the profit growth.
