Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of recruitment and selection on employees'
performance through organization commitment of PT. Ume Persada Indonesia, Gresik
(PT. UPI). Moreover, the research was quantitative and used data from research objects
Furthermore, the population was employees of PT Ume Persada Indonesia, Gresik
(PT.UPI). Additionally, the data collection technique used Simple Random Sampling In
line with, there were 100 respondents as the sample. In addition, the data analysis
technique used SEM-PLS with SmartPLLS 3.0. The research result concluded that both
recruitment and selection had a positive effect on employees' perfomance. On the other
hand, organization commitment had a positive but insignificant effect on employees'
performance. Meanwhile, recruitment had a positive and significant effect on
organization commitment In contrast, selection had a positive but insignificant effect on
organization commitment. In addition, recruitment as well as selection had a positive
but insignificant effect on employees' performance through organization commitment of
PT. Ume Persada Indonesia, Gresik (PT.UPI).
