Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of competence, placement and organizational culture on the performance
of employees of the UPT Wood Processing company in Sidoarjo Regency. The population is all permanent
employees of this company, totaling 40 people and all of them are used as respondents who are determined by
saturated samples. Collect primary data using questionnaires, data analysis with multiple linear regression. The
results showed that competence had a significant positive effect on employee performance at the UPT Wood
Processing company in Sidoarjo Regency. This shows that the suitability between the characteristics of the
competencies possessed by employees and the characteristics required by the job will support the improvement of
employee performance. Placement has a significant positive effect on employee performance at the UPT Wood
Processing company in Sidoarjo Regency. This shows that the placement of employees according to their
expertise (skills, knowledge and education level) which is often referred to as the right man and right place will
support the improvement of employee performance. Organizational culture has a positive and significant effect
on employee performance at the UPT Wood Processing company in Sidoarjo Regency. This shows that the
compatibility between employee work culture and organizational culture will support employee performance
improvement.
