Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of probability and leverage on the profit changes of Food and Beverages companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). While, there were ten Food and Beverages companies as samples. Furthemore, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regressions analysis with SPSS version 20. The research result concluded the net profit margin had negative and insignificant effect on the profit changes. It meant, the company had higher sale and operational cost. On the other hand, return on assets had positive and significant effect on the profit changes. In other words, the company had preferred to use its asset in having profit. While, debt to asset ratio had negative and significant effect on the profit changes. It meant, the company had fewer in using its debt benefits and maximize the company profit. Moreover, long term debt to equity ratio had positive and significant effect on the profit changes. In other words, the company was able to use its own capital to pay the company long-term debts. In brief, the company should be more efficient in managing its operational cost.
