Abstract

One of the company’s objectives is to have some profits. While, company can have maximum profit when the financial is well-managed. Mean while, one of the indicators of measuring financial performance is profitability. Moreover, profitability can be affected by some factors, such as work capital turnover, liquidity and leverage. Therefore, this research aimed to examine the effect of work capital turnover, liquidity and leverageon profitability, which was referred to cash flow, current ratio, debt to equity ratio and return on asset.the population was 28 retailer companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2013-2017. Furthermore, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, In line with, there were 6 companies as sample. Additionally, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS. Based on multiple linear regreesion result, it concluded work capital turnover had negative and significant effect on profitability. On the other hand, liquidity had negative and insignificant effect on profitability. In contrast, leverage had positive but insignificant effect of profitability of retailer companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2013-2017.
