Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of liquidity, firm size, work capital and sales growth on probability. While, the independed variables which consist of liquidity was measured by current ratio, firm size was measured by natural log total asset, work capital was measured by working capital turnover and sales growth rate. Meanwhile, the dependend variable profitability, was measured by return on asset. The research was quantitative. Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based on criteria given. In line with, there were 4 companies from 13 automotive companies which were listed on Indonesia stock exchanges during 2011 – 2018; as sample. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS ( Statistical Product and Service Solution) 24. The research result concluded liquidity had negative and significant effect on profitability. On the other hand, sales growth had positive and significant effect on profitability. In contrast, firm size as well as work capital had insignificant effect on profitability.
