Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of firm, profitability, and liquidity on capital structure of food and bavarages companies which were listed on indonesia stock exchange 2015-2018. The population was 19 food and bavarages companies. Moreover there were 12 food and bavarages companies as sample. Furthermore, the reseach was casual comporative. Additionally, the data collection technique used purposive sampling. In addition, the data analysis technique used multiple linier regression. While, the independent variables were firm size, profitability and liquidity. Meanwhile, dependent variable was capital structure. Based on data analysis, the research result concluded firm size had negative and insignificant effect on capital structure. This meant, the lower of firm size, the lower capital structure would be. On the other hand, profitability had positive and significant effect on capital structure. It meant, the higher the profitability, the higher capital structure would be. In contrast, liquidity had negative and significant effect on capital structure. In other words, the higher the liquidity, the lower capital structure would be.
