Abstract

This research is meant to find out and to analyze: the influence of motivation, work environment, the
selection and the training to the performance of the employees at PT Agro Indah Permata. This
research has been carried out by using comparative causal method. The population of this research is
50 employees of PT Agro Indah Permata Surabaya, regarding the amount of the population is not too
large, so the samples are all of the populations (census). Meanwhile, the analysis technique has been
done by using multiple linear regressions. Based on the result which has been carried out it can be
concluded that: 1) Motivation has significant and positive influence to the performance of the
employees at PT Agro Indah Permata, and the motivation which has been possessed by these
employees, they will work optimally 2) Work environment has positive and significant influence to the
performance of the employees at PT Agro Indah Permata. A good work environment will make the
employees do their jobs well so it will encourage the employees to feel happy in working, 3) The
selection has positive and significant influence to the performance of the employees at PT Agro Indah
Permata. The selection process is very important in creating quality in the organization through their
human resources, 4) The training has significant and positive influence to the performance of the
employees at PT Agro Indah Permata. The presence of the training is meant to gain work force who
has knowledge, good skills, ability.
