Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of profitability, inflation and interest rates on the stock prices in the banking sector which is listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The data that been used are secondary data in the form of statistical data and annual financial reports during the period of 2012-2016. Sampling technique with saturated sample method and the number of the samples are 7 companies that meet the criteria which have been determined. In this research, profitability is measured by using return on equity and stock price is measured using closing price (closing price). The analysis technique that been used in this research is multiple linear regression with using SPSS program. Based on the classical assumption test using normality test, multicolinearity test, autocorrelation test and heteroscedasticity test of the model are stated to have fulfilled assumption and no violation. Based on the results of feasibility test model using simultaneous determination coefficient test and simultaneous significance test showed that the regression model declared feasible to be used for research. The result of hypothesis testing shows that profitability has significant influence to the stock price, while inflation and interest rate have no significant influence on the stock price.
