Abstract

This research discuss about the marketing strategy of travel business in increasing the number of customers of
PT. Roda Express Sukses Mandiri. The subject of this research is PT. Roda Express Sukses Mandiri.
Meanwhile, the object of the research is the marketing strategy of travel business in order to increase the number
of customers. The data collection technique has been done by the researcher by conducting field research; it is the
data collection technique which is done by studying the object of the research directly to gain the data which is
related to the problems. The data collection has been done by using interview technique, observation and
documentation. The data analysis technique has been conducted by using qualitative descriptive which is done
by collecting, processing, and presenting the data. The result of this research shows that since its establishment
in 2009 up to now has experienced significant enhancement every year and it can become one of business travels
which is sturdy and able to compete new and travel companies which already exist. It shows that in increasing
the number of customers is done by using marketing strategy which is focused on price competition, product
type, and service system which has been provided. From the service point of view, it shows that provides 24
hours ticketing reservations both online and manual and the service that remains available during public
holidays or holidays, also provides interesting promotion which can gives advantage to the customers.
