Abstract

This research aims is to determine the influence of earnings per share, residual income, economic value added, market value added and price earnings ratio to stock returns of automotive companies which listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis, where earnings per share, residual income, economic value added, market value added and price earning ratio as independent variable, and stock return as dependent variable. In data processing, this research uses SPSS 23 program tool. The sampling method in this research uses purposive sampling technique which is the type of sample selection in accordance with certain considerations. The data used in research is taken from the financial statements and financial performance of automotive companies in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Companies which studied in this research are automotive companies which listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The F test results show that the research model is feasible to be used. While the t test results states that only economic value added variable that have a significant influence on stock returns and other variables are earnings per share, residual income, market value added and price earnings ratio has no significant influence on stock returns.
