Abstract
The disclosure of biological assets is a form of the company’s biological asset value suited to its contribution to producing economic benefits. It aimed to examine (1) the effect of biological asset intensity, (2) firm size, and (3) the concentration of managerial ownership on the disclosure of biological assets. Moreover, the population was 22 agricultural companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2022. The data collection technique used purposive sampling. Furthermore, 16 companies fulfilled the criteria as a sample, while 6 companies did not. In total, there were 48 data samples. Additionally, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. The result showed that (a) biological asset intensity had a positive effect on the disclosure of biological assets. It was caused by the number of investments in the form of biological assets at agricultural companies, (b) firm size had a negative effect on the disclosure of biological assets. This happened when the investors had decision-making in investing the capital in the agricultural companies, they did not consider the effect of firm size as benchmarking within the disclosure of biological assets, and (c) concentration of managerial ownership had s positive effect on disclosure of biological asses. It occurred as the manager’s attention on the management performance was valued as a good standard.
