INOVASI PENGGUNAAN DANA DESA UNTUK PEMBERDAYAAN EKONOMI LOKAL DESA GERBO PASURUAN

Abstract

This research aims to determine the innovation of village funds usage and problems faced for local economy
empowerment at Desa Gerbo Kecamatan Purwodadi, Pasuruandistrict. The research applies qualitatively with
a descriptive approach. Furthermore, the data were primary. The instruments in the data collection technique
were interviews, observation, and documentation. The result indicates that village funds usage does not fully
provide for dairy farming and vegetable farmer. It happens as there is no certain allocation for the two sectors.
Moreover, the village funds usage is more focused on infrastructure building and consumptive activities.
Besides, lack of innovation in village funds management and lack of attention from the local government gives
less opportunity for villagers' empowerment. Additionally, problems faced by Desa Gerbo are unstable the
selling price, market monopoly, weather conditions, and disease, also the expensive of fertilizers price. Therefore,
the local government needs to have plans that focus more on farming and agriculture by using village funds to
improve villagers' welfare and making the economy in Desa Gerbo more independent.
