PROSES PEMBERIAN KREDIT PADA PT BANK PERKREDITAN RAKYAT GUNA YATRA

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the credit granting process to the customers at PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Guna Yatra, and to find out the effectiveness of the implementation of the Accounting Information System (SIA) in supporting those activities. The research applies qualitatively with a case-study approach at PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Guna Yatra. The result indicates that the credit granting process at PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Guna Yatra is based on the 5C principle, namely Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition of Economy. Besides, it also considers SIA elements, including human resources, procedure, financial statements, and documents which are used to minimaze risks for bad credit. Furthermore, the implementation of SIA facilitates to ease recording, processing, and reporting financial data so that fasten the process of making decision related to credit granting. Therefore, job rotation needs to be applied to prevent fraud potency and improve SIA quality. As a consequence, the performance will be accurate, optimal, and run well without any obstacle.
