Abstract

This research aimed to examine and find out the effect of financial performance on the firm value of Food and Beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The independent variables were financial performance, which was referred to as profitability which was measured by Return On Assets (ROA), leverage which was measured by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and liquidity which was measured by Current Ratio (CR). Meanwhile, the dependent variable was firm value which was measured by Price to Book Value (PBV). The research was quantitative. Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based on the criteria given. In line with that, there were 216 data samples from 54 Food and Beverage companies listed on the IDX during 2019-2022. The data were secondary. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. The result concluded that profitability had a positive effect on firm value. Likewise, leverage had a positive effect on firm value. Similarly, liquidity had a positive effect on firm value. In other words, the higher the financial performance of companies which was referred to as profitability, leverage, and liquidity, the better the firm value would be.
