KEMAMPUAN TEORI MODEL ALTMAN, SPRINGATE, GROVER, DAN ZMIJEWSKI DALAM MEMPREDIKSI FINANCIAL DISTRESS PERUSAHAAN TRANSPORTASI

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the difference of score in prediction of financial distress between Altman model, Springate, Grover and Zmijewski also to find out the best prediction to predict the financial distress at transportation companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the periods of 2016-2019. This research was quantitative. The data of this research used financial statements. The sample used a transportation company listed in IDX in 2016-2019. Furthermore, the sample collection technique used purposive sampling with a category of a transportation company that experienced financial distress. Moreover, the analysis method of this research used the Mann-Whitney test with SPSS version 21 and the accuracy -test used a prediction model. The result of this research used score differences in the prediction of financial distress between the Altman model, Springate model, Springate model, Zmijewski model, and Grover model but there were no different score among the Springate model and Grover model in the prediction of financial distress. Meanwhile, the best prediction model to predict financial distress at transportation companies was the Grover model.
