PENGARUH CORPORATE GOVERNANCE DAN FINANCIAL LEVERAGE TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the corporate governance and financial leverage on the firm value listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2019 periods. Corporate governance was measured by the audit committee, ownership managerial proportion, and proportion of independent commissioners, also financial leverage as measured by debt to total assets, meanwhile, the firm value was measured by price to book value ratio. This research used a quantitative method with purposive sampling in a form of financial information of agriculture listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2014-2019. Furthermore, the research population of this research used 21 companies with 95 observation samples. Moreover, data examination used multiple linear regression analysis methods with SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) 25 version. The result showed that financial leverage had a negative effect on the firm value, meanwhile the audit committee, managerial ownership, and independent commissioner did not have any effect on the firm value.
