PENGARUH LEVERAGE, LIKUIDITAS, PERPUTARAN MODAL KERJA DAN PERTUMBUHAN PENJUALAN TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS PERUSAHAAN

Abstract

Competition among Food and Beverages industries makes ecery company have to improve its performance, in
order to achieve objectives. This research aimed to examine the effect of leverage, liquidy, work capital turnover
and sales growth on profitability. The research was quantitive. While, the population was Food and beverages
companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Moreover, the data collection technique used
purposive sampling with samples of 78 companies. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used multiple linear
regression with SPSS (Statistical Produc and Service Solution). The research result concluded as follows: (1)
leverage affected profitability as it had t-counted for about -0.248. This mean, the higher the leverage, the lower
the profitability of companies would be, (2) Liquidity affected profitability as it had t-counted for about 2.182. It
meant, the higher the liquidity, the higher the profitability would be, (3) working capital turnover effected
profitability as it had t-counted for about 2.713. In onther words, the hogher working capital turnover, the
higher the profit of company would be, (4) sales growth affected profitability as it had t-counted for about 0.768.
This meant, the higher the sales growth, the higher the profitability would be.
