PENGARUH LEVERAGE DAN ESOPTERHADAP KINERJA KEUANGAN PERUSAHAAN GO PUBLICDI BEI

Abstract

The research aimed to find out the effect of leverage and ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program) on the company’s financial performance at go public companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2012-2017 periods. The sample collection method used purposive sampling method. The selection of non-random samples whose information were obtained through particular considerations or criteria, i.e go public companies that had been considered ESOP and listed on IDX during 2012-2017 periods. The data for this research were in the form annual financial statements published on 2012-2017 periods. The data analysis method used multiple linear regressions analysis to examine the effect od independent variable on the dependent variable. Moreover, the model feasibility test (fit model) and coefficient determination test were conducted to examine hypothesis with 5% of trust level wih the instrument of SPSS 23 for windows. Based on the t-test result showed that all the independent variable gave significant and positive effect on the company’s financial performance. The variable of leverage and ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program) gave positive and significant effects on the financial performance. This showed that the higher leverage value and ESOP increased the company’s financial performance. Keywords: leverage, ESOP, ROA
