PENERAPAN METODE JUST IN TIME TERHADAP EFISIENSI BIAYA BAHAN BAKU PT HARMONIZE INVITATION

Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze the implementation of Just in Time method on PT. Harmonize Invitation to
improve the efficiency of raw material. The research object is PT. Harmonize Invitation. Purchasing method has
been done by using qualitative method whereas the data analysis technique has been done by using descriptive
analysis. The researcher conducts qualitative approach because he is not proven hypothesis, but the researcher
compares and analyzes the implementation of the traditional and Just In Time (JIT) methods of inventory of raw
materials. It has been found from the result of research which shows that the average amount of inventory still
quite from the number using traditional methods. Therefore, the existence of just in time purchasing system
(JIT) is required in order to improve the cost efficiency. By applying the just in time (JIT) method, the steps
which have been carried out: conducting a selection of suppliers who are capable, and establishing information
networks with suppliers. Based on the discussion which has been done by using just in time system in ordering
and storage, becomes more efficient than traditional, then the company should implement just in time method
and establish information network with suppliers in fulfilling company requirement.
