FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI MAHASISWA AKUNTANSI DALAM PEMILIHAN PROFESI SEBAGAI AKUNTAN

Abstract

This research aims to examine the factors that influenced the accounting students in the selection of the profession as an accountant. Factors which tested in this research are financial rewards/rewards, professional training, professional recognition, social values, work environment, labor market considerations and personality. The type of research used is quantitative research. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires to STIESIA Accounting S1 students in Surabaya generation 2014. The sampling technique that been used was purposive sampling, so the samples obtained were 95 respondents. Data analysis in this research is multivariate analysis by using one way anova with the help of SPSS version 23. Based on the results of hypothesis testing can be concluded that there are 3 factors that influenced accounting students in the selection of the profession as an accountant that is the factor of salary/ financial rewards, professional training and social values. While the factors that do not influenced the accounting students in the selection of the profession as an accountant is professional recognition, work environment, labor market considerations and personality.
