Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of profitability, liquidity, leverage and firm size on firm value of manufacturing companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research was quantitative. Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based on criteria given. In line with, there were 186 samples from 62 manufacturing companies, which listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2016-2018. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with SPSS. The research result concluded as follows: (a) Profitability had positive effect on firm value. This meant, the higher the company's profitability, the higher the firm value, (b) Liquidity had positive effect on firm value. In other words, with its higher liquidity, it showed companies could use funds in order to earn its operational and investment. As the result, it gave better perception of investors on companies' performance, (c) Leverage had positive effect on firm value. It meant, the higher the leverage, the higher the firm value, (d) Firm size had positive effect on firm value since bigger companies could access easily to capital market.
