Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of profitability on firm value, examine the effect of leverage on firm value and examine the effect of liquidity on firm value. The research was quantitative. The population was manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based on the criteria given. In line with that, there were 14 samples with 56 observations. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. The result concluded that (1) profitability which ROA measured, had a positive effect on firm value. It meant the more companies’ profits change, the more firm value would be affected; (2) leverage which DER measured had a positive effect on firm value. This meant companies’ debt still became a factor that affected firm value; (3) liquidity which CR measured did not affect firm value. In other words, liquidity did not affect firm value since the debt usage was not maximized by companies’ needs.
