PENGARUH GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE DAN PROFITABILITAS TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN

Abstract

This research aimed to find out and examine the effect of Good Corporate Governance and profitability on firm value. Good Corporate Governance was measured by institutional ownership, managerial ownership, and independent commissioner. Moreover, profitability was measured by Return On Asset (ROA), and firm value was measured by Price Book Value (PBV). The research was quantitative. Furthermore, the population was Food and Beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data collection technique used purposive sampling. In line with that, there were 12 companies listed on the website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange as the sample; with 3 years of observation (2019-2021). In total, there were 36 data samples. Additionally, the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression, The result showed that institutional ownership as well as profitability had a positive and significant effect on firm value. On the other hand, both managerial ownership and independent commissioner did not affect firm value.
