Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on firm value. The population was bangking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2019-2021. The data collection technique used purposive sampling. In line with that there were 26 companies as the sample, with 78 observations for 3 years. Moreover, the data were taken from companies’ annual reports which were published. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. The result showed that CSR did not affect firm value. It happened because the banking companies in Indonesia had not fully implemented CSR due to their disclosure either in annual reports or separate CSR reports. On the other hand, managerial ownership affected the firm value, since the management had investment and a higher intention to developer the companies. In contrast, institusional ownership did not affect the firm value as most of the owners were government parties. Therefore, the firm value in the companies would not be increased
