PENGARUH MEKANISME GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the mechanism of Good Corporate Governance (independent commissioners, managerial ownership, audit committee, board of directors) on the firm value which was referred to as Tobin’s q. Furthermore, the population was Food and Beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2019-2021. The research was quantitative. Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling i.e., a sample selection based on the determined criteria. The technique was used to solve the research problem. Additionally, there were 26 Food and Beverage companies as the sample; with 78 observations data. The data were secondary and taken from the trusted sources of annual statements from the official website Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) www.idx.co.id and through Indonesia Stock Exchange Investment Gallery STIESIA Surabaya. The result showed that independent commissioners did not affect the firm value. On the other hand, managerial ownership had a positive effect on the firm value. In contrast, the audit committee did not affect the firm value. On the contrary, the board of commissionaire did not affect the firm value of Food and Beverage companies.
