Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of capital structure, profitability, and firm size on the firm value through the financial statements that had been published by Food and Beverage companies. The capital structure was measured by DER (Debt to Equity Ratio), profitability was measured by ROA (Return On Asset), and firm size was measured by total assets. The research was quantitative. Furthermore, the population was Food and Beverage companies listed on The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based on determined criteria. In line with that, there were 18 companies as the sample. Moreover, the data were taken for 4 years of observation (2018-2021). In total, there were 72 data samples. The data analysis used multiple linear regression with SPSS 25. Based on the classical assumption test through the normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests showed that all variables that were used fulfilled the classical assumption test. Additionally, the result of the hypothesis test showed that the capital structure as well as profitability had a positive effect on the firm value. However, the hypothesis test result showed that firm size had a negative effect on firm value.
