Abstract

This research aimed to examine and analyze the effect of financial performance, which included
liquidity, solvability, profitability, activity, and firm size on firm value. Moreover, each variable was
measured by Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Total Asset
Turnover (TATO), Logarithms Natural (Ln) Total Asset, and Tobin’s Q. The research was quantitative
with a causal-comparative approach. It dealt with understanding cause-effect relationships between two
or more variables. Furthermore, the population was Food and Beverage companies listed on the
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2017-2021. The data collection technique used purposive sampling.
In line with that, there were 175 data samples during 5 years of observation. However, as there was
outlier data, the total sample became 73. Additionally, the data were secondary in the form of
companies’ financial statements published in IDX. In addition, the data analysis technique used
multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. The result concluded liquidity, solvability, profitability, and firm
size had a positive effect on firm value. However, activity did not affect firm value.
