PENGARUH PROFITABILITAS, LIKUIDITAS TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN DENGAN MANAJEMEN LABA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of profitability (ROA) and liquidity (CR) on firm value (PBV) with profit management (EM) as the intervening variable at Food and Beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2017-2021. The research was quantitative. Furthermore, the population was 46 Food and Beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2017-2021. The data collection technique used purposive sampling. In line with that, there were 15 companies that met the determined criteria within 5 years. Moreover, in total there were 75 observation data. As there were 32 outlier data, the amount of research observation data became 43. Additionally, the data analysis technique used linear regression path model and SPSS 25 version. The result concluded that : (1) profitability did not affect profit management, (2) liquidity had a negative effect on the profit management, (3) profitability had a positive effect on the firm value, (4) liquidity had a negative effect on the firm value, (5) profit management had a positive effect on the firm value, (6) profit management was not able to mediate the profitability on the firm value, and (7) profit management was able to mediate the liquidity on the firm value.
