ANALISIS KINERJA KEUANGAN SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH MERGER PADA PT BANK CETRAL ASIA SYARIAH

Abstract

This research aimed to find out, empirically, whether there were differences in the financial performance of PT. BCA Syariah before or after merger. The performance was measured by Return On Asset (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE), Debt To Asset Ratio (DAR), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER), and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR).The data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based on the criteria given. Moreover, the period which was used, i.e. before the merger, first until the fourth quarter during 2019-2020, and after the merger, first until the fourth quarter during 2020-2021. The research was descriptive- comparative with a quantitative approach. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used the t-test and Wilcoxon signed rank test. The result from the t-test showed that ROA, ROE, and DAR did not have differences before and after the merger. Meanwhile, Wilcoxon signed rank test showed that DAR also did not have differences. However, CAR had differences before and after the merger.
