PENGARUH INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL TERHADAP KINERJA KEUANGAN PADA PERUSAHAAN FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of intellectual capital on financial performance of food and beverage
companies which were listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The intellectual capital was measured by Value
Added Capital Employed (VACA), Value Added Human Capital (VAHU), and Structural Capital Value Added
(STVA). Meanwhile, financial performance was measured by Return On Asset (ROA). The research was
quantitative. Moreover, the data collection technique used purposive sampling, in which the sample was based on
criteria given. In line with that, there were 70 samples from 14 food and beverage companies which were listed on
Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2016-2020. Furthermore, the independent variable was intellectual capital.
While, the dependent variable was financial performance. Additionally, the data analysis technique used multiple
linear regression with SPSS. The research result concluded that Value Added Capital Employed had a positive
effect on the financial performance. Likewise, Value Added Human Capital had a positive effect on the financial
performance. In addition, Structural Capital Value Added did not affect the financial performance
