Abstract

This research is to examine the influence of financial ratio to the stock return on food and beverages companies
which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The population is all food and beverages sector
manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). In this research liquidity is
measured by Current Ratio (CR), Solvency is measured by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Profitability is
measured by Return On Asset (ROA), Activity is measured by Total Asset Turn Over (TATO), Market value is
measured by Earning Per Share (EPS). The sample collection technique has been done by using purposive
sampling and 11 company samples with total observation of 55 (11 x 5 years) food and beverages sector
manufacturing companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2012-2016 periods have been
obtained. The hypothesis test has been conducted by using multiple regressions analysis technique. The result of
the research indicates that Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Earning Per Share (EPS) give positive influence to
the stock return, whereas Current Ratio (CR), Return on Asset (ROA), Total Asset Turn Over (TATO) does
not give any influence to the stock return.
